Valentine's Day

I don't write about my veterans enough. I absolutely love, love, love my job. I love meeting with my patients every day and taking care of them. I love hearing their stories, feeling their gratitude, and trying to make their day a little brighter. I have gotten close to many of them already, and I find myself upset to hear about the difficult things that they go through. I am going to try to write about them more, because they are a huge part of my life these days.

All in all, I love my veterans. They are precious, and I love working with them.

Today I called one of my sweet old men to set up an appointment for next week, and he said, in all sincerity, "Now, you won't be open on Valentine's Day will you?"

That's my kinda man.

I think Valentine's Day would make a GREAT federal holiday!
